1st International Conference
Theme: Advancing Veterinary Sciences and Practice: Research and Innovation to Industry
About the conference
The 1st International Conference on Veterinary Sciences brings veterinarians, scientists, industry, policy makers and farmers into one room at the School of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Centurion University, in southern Odisha.
Three days of research tracks, an Industry–Academia Conclave, an Industry Challenge, an expo and a field meet are built around one question: how does veterinary science reach the people who depend on animals for their livelihood.

Aim & objectives
Animal health now sits at the centre of several global challenges: antimicrobial resistance, zoonotic and emerging diseases, food safety, climate stress on production systems, and the livelihoods of the many families who depend on livestock.
India has one of the world’s largest livestock populations and is the largest producer of milk, yet findings from veterinary laboratories often take years to reach a farmer’s shed or a company’s product line.
ICVSi2i 2027 is hosted by the School of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Centurion University, in Paralakhemundi, Odisha, where livestock and tribal livelihoods are closely linked. The programme is built to shorten that distance. Researchers, clinicians, industry, policy makers and field veterinarians work through the same agenda, from the opening keynote to the farmers’ meet on the final day.
About Centurion University
Centurion University of Technology and Management (CUTM) was set up in 2010 by an Act of the Odisha Legislative Assembly as the first multi-sector state private university in Odisha. It began in a tribal district and still builds its campuses close to the communities it serves.
The university works on skills, entrepreneurship and employability for people in less developed markets. Its schools cover management, technology, agricultural sciences and vocational education and training, with programmes from certificate to doctoral level on campuses in Odisha and Andhra Pradesh.
“A globally accredited human resource centre of excellence catalysing sustainable livelihoods in the less developed markets.” CUTM vision
About the School
The School of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (SOVAS) is at the Paralakhemundi campus of CUTM in Gajapati district, Odisha. It is recognised by the Veterinary Council of India and follows the VCI Minimum Standards of Veterinary Education Regulations, 2016.
